Feast & Famine
This sculpture is a reaction to recent trends of destructive over consumption by humans. Starting in the 1970’s humanity has been steadily increasing our ecological footprint beyond Earths biocapacity. Consuming far more resources than the Earth can restore every year. This excessive consumption of the Earths finite resources has only increased, we now use almost two times the amount of resources the world can replace annually.
Skeleton molds made with @smoothon Rebound 25 silicone. Bronze was cast with low melt, lost wax, sand molds. Finished with a ferric nitrate/ferric chloride patina and clear coat. Table legs were sanded clean and hand buffed w/graphite before sealing.
