Feast & Famine
Cast Bronze, Wood; 53”x43”x34”
Starting in the 1970s humanity has been steadily increasing our ecological footprint beyond Earths biocapacity. Consuming far more resources than the Earth can restore every Year. This excessive consumption of the Earth’s finite resources has only increased, we now use almost two times the amount of resources the world can replace annually. In this sculpture the skeleton is standing on all fours gripping table legs in its hands and feet, in the style and scale of a traditional dining room table. In this way the skeleton is becoming the very table the world is being served-up from.
